Ways To Prevent Malware In Pendrives (or Pendrive Cannot Open Normally)

  Does your pendrive cannot be accessed normally (by double-clicking) after your anti-virus removes malware from your pendrive? In most cases, it's because the anti-virus has deleted "autorun.inf" from your computer. This "autorun.inf" was rewritten by malware to put virus in your computer if you double-click your pendrive for the first time. Once anti-virus deleted that, you can't open your pendrive normally again. With Autorun Eater, that problem is solved.

Autorun Eater's Website
Advantages:
  • You don't have to reformat your pendrive.
  • Prevent malwares in your pendrive the moment you insert into usb before the malware acts.
  • Doesn't take much space in your computer's harddrive, very small actually.
Steps :
  1. Go to Autorun Eater Mainpage
  2. Download latest version
  3. Install... & done!
Configurations can be done later by right click on the icon in taskbar. The other way is reformat. (for now). MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP YOUR FILES INSIDE. DO THIS ONLY AFTER YOU HAVE SCAN YOUR PENDRIVE FOR VIRUSES.

Steps :
  1. Right-click on pendrive icon in My Computer
  2. Choose 'Format'...
  3. Choose 'quick format' & press Start or Enter... & done!

UPDATE(S):
  • Pendrive that right now cannot be open normally can actually still be accessed by right click > 'Explore'.
